Insurance

Do we take your insurance? Find out in a minute.

Tell us your carrier and member ID. The front desk checks your plan's benefits with your insurer, in network or out, and sends you a plain breakdown within one business hour: what is covered, what your share would be, and how much of your annual maximum is left.

Prefer to ask? Call (704) 555-0129 with your insurance card in hand.

Are you a new or existing patient?

Demo form. Nothing is submitted anywhere.

In network

The practice has a contract with your insurer and charges the insurer's agreed fee, which is usually lower. Out of network, your plan may still pay, but you can owe the difference between our fee and what it pays.

Annual maximum

The most your plan pays in a year, often $1,000-$2,000. After that you pay the rest yourself until the plan year starts again. A crown can use up half of it.

Waiting period

Some plans pay for cleanings from day one but make you wait six or twelve months before they pay toward fillings or crowns. It is in your plan documents, and we check it for you.

Why 100, 80 and 50

Most plans pay check-ups and cleanings at or near 100%, because prevention saves them money, fillings around 80%, and crowns and root canals around 50%, after your deductible.

Dental emergency

Is it urgent? Check in ten seconds.

Tick what is happening and you will see what to do right now, and whether to call or book. This is general first aid, not a diagnosis.

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, a high fever with facial swelling, or a possible broken jaw.

What is happening?

Tick anything that applies

Nothing ticked yet. For a toothache that comes and goes, rinse with warm water, floss gently around the tooth and book the next free check-up. Do not put aspirin on the gum; it can burn it.

What to do

  • Knocked-out tooth, bleeding that will not stop, or swelling: call (704) 555-0129 now. Keep a knocked-out adult tooth in milk, not water; the best chance is within 30 minutes. Never put a baby tooth back.
  • Severe toothache or a broken tooth: call or book the earliest emergency slot this week.

Questions

What new patients ask us

Do you take my insurance?

Very likely we can work with it, in network or out. Use the insurance check on this site or call with your card, and the front desk confirms your exact benefits with your insurer within one business hour, before you book.

What if I do not have dental insurance?

Every cash price is published on our price list. The Northbend Care plan covers two check-ups a year and takes 20% off most other work; the calculator shows honestly whether it is worth it for you. Self-pay patients get a written Good Faith Estimate before scheduled care.

Can I really be seen this week?

Usually, yes. The online calendar shows the real open times, Saturday mornings included, and we hold emergency slots every day we are open. If nothing suits you, call and we will look for a cancellation.

Do you see children?

Yes, from the first tooth. Our general dentists see children of every age, and Dr. Quintero runs Saturday children's mornings. When a child needs a pediatric dentist or an orthodontist, we say so and refer.

I am nervous about the dentist. What can you do?

Tell us when you book. We explain each step before it happens, agree a stop signal with you, and book longer appointments so nothing is rushed. You can bring someone with you into the room.

Are you specialists?

No. All three of our dentists are general dentists. We do fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, children's dentistry, whitening and clear aligners as general dentists, and refer to specialists when that is the better choice for you.
